Summer Camp Program
Good times, new friends, rewarding experiences and challenges and more are to be discovered at residential summer camp in the Laurentians.  For the past eight summers, over 2400 children have been sponsored by The Generations Foundation.  Professionals from the CLSC's, the schools and the parents see the positive results-happier children who return to their homes and schools renewed and refreshed, eager for what lies ahead.  The residential camping experience is unique in that it teaches independence and challenges campers to go beyond their limits in a structured and supervised environment.

For the summer of 2008, we have selected Amy Molson Camp, located in Grenville, for children from 5 to 12 yrs and Trails End Camp, located in Ste-Beatrix, for children from 7 to 14 yrs. Kinkora Camp was also selected for to sponsor entire families for a week of fun in a countryside environment and ten children were sponsored to Camp B'nai Brith in Lantier, Quebec.

Camp Amy Molson was established in 1944 on 180 acres of woods and beautiful rolling hills, just across the Ottawa River from Hawkesbury, Ontario.  Their facilities include:  an in-ground pool, waterfront with docks and floating dock, boating docks, sports field, outdoor basketball court, volleyball court, ropes course, playground, inddor activity centers, rec. hall, camp sites and nature trails.  Their mission is to provide inner city children a happy, healthy, safe holiday with fresh air, good food, fun activities and most of all, loving care -in a worry free learning environment.  Activities offered:  Arts & Crafts, Live Arts, Nature Lore, Boating, Pottery, Music, Sports, Cooperative Games, Swimming, Outdoor Adventure Program, Special Theme Days, Picnics in the Woods, Sleep-outs.

Trail's End Camp has been providing children and youth with an outstanding summer camping program since 1949.  Their facilities include an outdoor, half-size Olympic swimming pool and Recreation hall and of course, acres upon acres of forest area along side the L'assomption River.   Trail's End campers sleep in comfortable cabins that are equipped with showers and washrooms. Activities include Climbing, Orienteering, Canoeing, Wilderness Camping, Environmental awareness, Mountain biking, Sports, Arts & Crafts, Aquatics, Diving.

Camp B'nai Brith celebrates 85 years! Its mission has clearly been to be there to fulfill a child's dream. Their goal is to give every child a chance - a chance to grow and to make new friends, a
chance to see and experience new worlds an a chance to have memories that live forever.

Requests to engage our sponsorship for a two week stay in the country for a student on referral from social workers come from the following schools:

Dante School
Centennial Park School
Verdun Elementary
Ecole Enfants des Mondes
Ecole Dupuis
Ecole St. Antonin
to name a few."

Children are referred to us by the local CLSC or school they attend.  In many cases, these children would not otherwise have this opportunity!
